I think it's no secret that I am a big fan of Alexa Chung's look. She is so classic, yet she manages to inject effortless cool into anything she wears. Her makeup is always charming and she is full of that Hoxton "je ne sais quoi"...
I came across this pic at ELLEUK.com where I enjoyed reading about what Alexa has in her makeup bag...
I was especially amused to read that her favorite mascara is Great Lash mascara, £4.99 by Maybelline (which can be found at Boots). This item seems out of place next to brands such as La Prairie, but what have we learned about makeup from so many beauty experts out there? That price doesn't mean much when it comes to makeup. So many formulas are exactly the same, repackaged in different ways... If you have any favorites that fall under the £5 bracket, let us know!

I used to loooove this particular color of a Wet'n Wild lipstick (that 99 cent brand from Wallgreens) but they discontinued it! I still haven't found a replacement, and it was the best lipstick ever. The same can happen with higher end brands though... I then started wearing a Laura Mercier color and it was discontinued as well. Maybe it's me, I tend to pick the doomed colors!
